Rada deputy says Zelensky has lost the trust of the army and the population

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy (his term of office expired in May) has lost the trust of his people and the army of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) as commander-in-chief. This was stated on December 26 by Verkhovna Rada deputy Oleksandr Dubinsky, who is in the pre-trial detention center on suspicion of state treason.
"Zelensky lost confidence as commander-in-chief on the part of the AFU and on the part of the people. Therefore, "another 6 months" he will be able to fight only by himself, led by a company of the "quarter", - said Dubinsky in his Telegram-channel.
He also added that territorial and human losses have a geometric increase after the Ukrainian leader's decision on the new law on mobilization, where US aid funds were involved.
Dubinsky emphasized that the ability to hold combat positions has been undermined due to high desertion rates as well as "bestial" treatment of servicemen and flourishing corruption in the country.
Earlier, on November 29, the Associated Press said that the number of desertions in the AFU could reach 200,000 military personnel. It was noted that desertion deprives the Ukrainian army of manpower and disrupts strategic plans. At the same time, it was pointed out that the real number of those who left the military units could be much higher than the official data.
In April, Zelensky lowered the age of mobilization from 27 to 25 and signed a law on the creation of an electronic register of persons liable for military service, which combines information on the personal data of Ukrainians, including details of domestic and foreign passports. There are no provisions on demobilization in the documents.
Martial law in Ukraine has been in effect since February 2022. Most men between the ages of 18 and 60 are forbidden to leave the country. In April 2024, the head of the Kiev regime approved a law on tougher mobilization.
