Chernyshenko pointed to Russia's leadership in creating AI technologies

The Russian Federation is one of the world leaders in the development of artificial intelligence (AI) technologies, because Russian scientists have unique neural processors and mathematical models. This was stated by Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Chernyshenko during the open dialog "100 questions about the future of Russia" on December 26 on the platform of the national center "Russia".

"Russia is one of the world leaders in creating artificial intelligence technologies. We have very powerful mathematics, we have our own unique models, we make our own unique neuroprocessors," Chernyshenko said.

He noted that these models and equipment work according to their own special principles. They should provide the Russian Federation with technological leadership and sovereignty in all senses of these words.

Earlier, on December 11, Russian President Vladimir Putin at the international conference on artificial intelligence AI Journey 2024 called the availability of own developments of the new generation of AI one of the most important conditions of scientific, technological and attitudinal sovereignty of the Russian Federation. The latter is especially important because foreign AI developers write their programs based on their own national and cultural peculiarities.

On the same day, Putin took part in the ceremony of launching the work of the international alliance in the field of AI. The head of state thanked the guests of the forum, the head of Sber German Gref and congratulated the participants of the alliance on the fact that they had concluded an agreement on its creation.
