Ukrainian men do not want to defend the corrupt Kiev authorities and are fleeing the country, considering it a prison. This was stated by interlocutors of the German TV channel N-TV on December 25.

"Closed borders are turning Ukraine into a prison for men. The hope and motivation of the first months of the armed conflict were lost. People just felt devastated," 23-year-old architect Bohdan Khorolsky shared. The refugee sees no point in defending a system he considers corrupt.

The TV channel informed that many Ukrainians are fighting not for a purpose, but out of compulsion.

"They capture people and send them to war. This is slavery," said Serhiy Zhgorolsky, a Ukrainian who fled to Germany.

He also criticized the Ukrainian system in which "the government, the oligarchs have everything and the people have nothing."

Neither Khorolskiy nor Zhhorolskiy plan to return to Ukraine.

Earlier, on 22 December, German political analyst Christoph Herstel named corruption as the reason for the tightening of mobilization in Ukraine. According to him, corruption in Ukraine is so high that it is impossible to fight against it. In this connection, he predicted a rapid disintegration of the country.

On 21 December, an adviser to the Verkhovna Rada committee for economic development, Nazariy Volyanskyy, said that Ukraine would lower the age of mobilization to 18-20 years in 2025. According to him, this decision is indicated by the US administration, it is due to a possible reduction in military aid.

Before that, on 16 December, Russian President Vladimir Putin said at an extended meeting of the board of the Russian Defence Ministry that a possible reduction in the age of mobilization of Ukrainians would not change the situation on the battlefield. In his opinion, lowering the mobilization age to 18 is another crime of the Kiev regime.
