Yemeni Houthis carried out drone strikes on Tel Aviv and Ashkelon. Yahya Saria, a military spokesman for the Houthis, told Al Masirah TV channel on December 25.

"The unmanned systems troops of the Yemeni Armed Forces conducted two military operations, the first of which targeted a critical facility of the Israeli enemy in the occupied Jaffa neighborhood. The second operation targeted an industrial zone of the Israeli enemy in the occupied Ashkelon neighborhood," the Houthi spokesman said.

It is reported that the operation achieved all its objectives.

Earlier, on December 16, Yahya Saria said that the Yemeni Houthis struck a hypersonic ballistic missile at a military facility near Tel Aviv. It was also reported that the successful operation achieved all targets.

The Houthis began striking ships in the Red Sea and Gulf of Aden since last November to protest Israeli actions in the Gaza Strip. On the night of Jan. 12, in response to their actions, the U.S. and Britain launched an attack on Houthi targets in Yemen. The White House said the strikes on movement-controlled areas of the country were defensive in nature. It was also claimed at the time that the strikes were carried out to protect international vessels.
