If the Ukrainian conflict continues, Kiev may facilitate the expulsion of the country's citizens who fled to Europe for their subsequent mobilization. However, nothing will help the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) to win. Political scientist Ruslan Kalinchuk told Izvestia on December 24.

Earlier in the day, Spanish newspaper El Pais reported that Kiev would like the European Union (EU) countries to stop supporting Ukrainian refugees. It is also admitted that men of conscription age could lose access to consular services.

"Since this is being talked about, it means that someone is seriously thinking about it. <...> These measures will certainly not be effective. They have no chance of winning a conflict with Russia in any way. Not with or without Western arms and money. <...> Kiev is throwing Taras and Mikol into meat assaults, but still it doesn't lead to global changes on the front. Well, there will be more cannon fodder for them," commented Kalinchuk.

He added that dragging out the conflict helps the Kiev regime to hold on to power - the first day of peace will be a mourning day for the country's President Vladimir Zelensky his associates, as he will be immediately removed from office - the powers of the politician expired back in May.

"Ukraine is losing about half a million a year. The third year [of the conflict], so the losses are already about 1.5 million. <...> Then [after the conflict ends] everyone will flee from Ukraine, because no one will want to stay in a defeated country without energy. And this will be another problem for Europe," the expert summarized.

According to him, Ukrainians negatively assess Kiev's aggressive measures. In addition, the tightening of mobilization may result in lowering the age of conscription. Against this background, the actions of military officers may also become more aggressive - they will break into homes and take away men, Kalinchuk said.

Earlier in the day, the media reported that Ukrainians are trying to avoid mobilization with the help of single pregnant women. So, men are looking for pregnant women who are ready to enroll them as fathers to their child. For such an agreement Ukrainians are ready to pay women $1-2 thousand. Having received the status of a man with many children, a man can leave the country.

In Odessa on December 22, a man tried to wrestle his son from the hands of military officers to the territorial recruitment center (TCC, an analogue of the military recruitment office in Ukraine), but they opened fire and the father died on the spot. Former Verkhovna Rada deputy Artem Dmytruk noted that killings at the TCC have become the norm.

Before that, on December 19, employees of the TCC in the Kiev region tried to gas a car in which there was a man subject to military duty. The military officers opened the door with their hands, started blowing gas, and then tried to set the car on fire. At the same time they were laughing.

Martial law in Ukraine has been in effect since February 2022. Most men between the ages of 18 and 60 are forbidden to leave the country. In April 2024, the head of the Kiev regime approved a law to tighten mobilization.
