In western Ukraine, women helped a man to escape from military officers

Several women helped a conscript to escape from the employees of the territorial recruitment center (TCC, the analogue of military commissions in Ukraine) who tried to forcibly mobilize him in the western Ukrainian city of Berehovo in Zakarpattia Region, the Ukrainian daily Strana reported on 23 December. This was reported by the Ukrainian publication Strana on December 23.
The publication's website attaches a video of women on the street pushing away people in military uniforms and shouting at them, standing up for the conscript.
It is known that the man managed to escape as a result of the incident.
A day earlier in the territorial acquisition center (TAC, the analogue of military commissions in Ukraine) of Odessa there was a shooting when a father tried to wrestle his son from the hands of employees. A deputy of the Verkhovna Rada noted that killings in the TSC have become the norm for Ukraine.
Earlier, on December 19, it was reported that in Ukraine, employees of the territorial manning center let gas into a car to force a military conscript out. Several people in uniform surrounded the car. Having opened the door with their hands, the employees let gas into the car and then tried to set it on fire.
Before that, on December 16, it was reported that the employees of the TCC in the Ternopil region of Ukraine killed a man forcibly mobilized by them. Then Dmytruk said that on December 6, the man was forcibly put into a TCC car in the village of Velyka Luka. Two days later, he called his relatives and asked them to bring him things and documents. When the relatives arrived at the TCC, they were told that the relative had already been released. The man's body was found on December 12 on the highway.
Martial law in Ukraine has been in effect since February 2022. Then the President of the country Volodymyr Zelensky (powers expired in May) signed a decree on general mobilization. Later, the Verkhovna Rada repeatedly extended its effect. Most men between the ages of 18 and 60 are forbidden to leave the country. In April 2024, the head of the Kiev regime approved the law on tougher mobilization.
