Relatives of the woman, who died in an ambulance after the collision of a freight and passenger trains in the Murmansk region, will be paid more than 2 million rubles. The press service of Russian Railways reported about it on December 18.

"To the relatives of the deceased the company will pay 2 million 200 thousand rubles," - specified in the message in the Telegram-channel.

The company also noted that they are entitled to compensation from the company SOGAZ JSC.

In addition, RZD added that the other hospitalized victims will be paid 1 million rubles, and those who sought medical help on the spot - 500 thousand rubles. The company will also pay for the treatment and rehabilitation of the injured in its medical institutions.

All passengers of the train will be refunded the full cost of tickets and will be awarded 20 thousand bonus points.

Thecollision of two trains occurred earlier in the day at the arrival of a passengertrain at the station Knyazhaya in the Murmansk region. According to the press service of Russian Railways, a passenger train traveling on the route Murmansk - St. Petersburg collided with a freight train. As a result of the collision, three cars of the passenger train and several freight cars derailed. There were 326 people in the passenger train at the time of the accident.

Assistant Health Minister Alexei Kuznetsov reported about 17 injured, including three minors. According to him, three of the injured are in a serious condition, the rest are in a condition of medium severity. Kuznetsov specified that 13 people have already been taken to hospitals and are being examined, ambulance crews are transporting four more people.

"Izvestia" also published footage from the passenger train. They show how people are trying to pass from one carriage to another, but because of the deformation of the doors do not open. Some passengers can not get to their belongings, as they remained in the affected parts of the train.

After the collision of the trains, the transport department of the Investigative Committee (IC) of Russia opened a criminal case under Article 263 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Violation of the rules of safety of movement and operation of railway transport"). Soon the head of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation, Alexander Bastrykin, demanded a report on the progress of the investigation.
