Vilfand predicted abnormally cold weather in some regions of Russia

In the regions of the North-Western and Central Federal Districts of Russia (NWFD and CFD), abnormally cold weather with frosts up to -30 degrees Celsius is forecast. This was reported by the scientific head of the Russian Hydrometeorological Center Roman Vilfand on December 18.

Vilfand added that the temperature in Tver, Moscow and Yaroslavl regions will be below normal by 6-9 degrees.

In addition, cold is predicted in the Urals, as well as in Vladimir, Ivanovo and Ryazan regions.

He also reported that despite the drop in temperatures across the country, in Krasnoyarsk Krai and in the western part of Yakutia will be kept 8-12 degrees higher than normal.
