The number of appeals to a direct line with Russian President Vladimir Putin amounted to more than 1.4 million applications. This follows on December 17 from the data of the headquarters of the "Popular Front" movement.

As reported by "Russia 24", as of 18:00 the exact number of appeals amounted to 1,430,919. The most popular way to ask a question to the head of state is still calls - they received more than 780 thousand.

In the morning of the previous day it was reported that more than 1 million 50 thousand appeals were registered. The head of the regional executive committee of the "People's Front" in the Tomsk region, Sergei Shalyapin, noted the competent staff of operators who "qualitatively work out questions" with the help of artificial intelligence (AI).

Prior to that, on December 14, Putin said that he had already familiarized himself with the questions to be answered during the direct line, and noted that the country is developing, but many more issues need to be resolved.

The direct line of the head of state will be combined with a large press conference. The events will be held under the title "The results of the year with Vladimir Putin". Representatives of Western media and foreign journalists accredited in Russia have received invitations.
