Education, social policy, the efficiency of state governance, and issues of values may become the central topics of the future direct line with Vladimir Putin, according to experts polled by Izvestiya. In addition, Russians are concerned about the prospects of victory in the NWO and the start of peace talks, analysts believe. The direct line with the Russian president, which will again be combined with a big press conference, is scheduled for December 19. The key innovation will be the use of artificial intelligence in the collection and processing of questions from citizens. Features of the direct line in 2024
The upcoming direct line, during which Russian President Vladimir Putin will answer questions that concern Russians, will be held on December 19. The collection of questions will begin on the night of December 8. You can send them by phone, SMS, through the website of the program "Results of the Year with Vladimir Putin" and social networks.
To record a video question, citizens will be able to use the smartphone application "Moscow to Putin". At the same time, the Kremlin emphasizes that the personal data of people addressing the direct line with the president will be reliably protected.
As last year, the direct line will be combined with a large press conference, which will be attended by Western journalists, among others.
- Journalists from federal, regional and international media will be accredited for the press conference. There will be mostly those foreigners who work within the framework of the current accreditation in the Russian Federation, but there will also be a few Western media who will fly specially for this event, - said the press secretary of the Russian president Dmitry Peskov on December 6.
The main innovation this year was the use of artificial intelligence in the collection and processing of questions. This was initiated by the People's Front. Dmitry Peskov expressed his special gratitude to the team of organizers and specialists from Sberbank. The Russian-language neural network GigaChat will be used to process the entire array of data, thanks to which the President will be informed on all relevant topics by the start of the press conference. The call center software is hosted on a platform created by Rostelecom.
- The use of our model in the event is an example of how artificial intelligence can be an assistant to humans, what new opportunities for growth and development it gives us, how it helps organizations to work more efficiently and saves time, - said Senior Vice President, Head of the Technological Development Block of Sberbank Andrey Belevtsev.
Dmitry Peskov reminded that the total number of questions received during the year reached several million. According to him, thanks to modern technologies it was possible to thoroughly study all the problems in every locality of Russia.
In addition, to collect the appeals of Russians this year involved veterans of the SSO, who received disability. According to Mikhail Kuznetsov, head of the executive committee of the "People's Front", the workplaces for veterans in the call center are equipped taking into account the peculiarities of people with disabilities. He noted that the initiative was launched in pilot mode, expressing hope that next year it will be possible to significantly expand their participation. This time five veterans of the National Defense Service will take part in the direct line.
- For them, working on the direct line is a way to prove that even with severe injuries it is possible to realize their abilities and continue to solve important state tasks, - said Mikhail Kuznetsov.
The editorial group includes the most experienced leaders and representatives of the regional branches of the "People's Front". These are expert practitioners who know firsthand what people in the regions are concerned about, how sometimes difficult but interesting it can be to solve problems in the territories.
What we can expect from the direct line
Experts are confident that the upcoming event will be truly large-scale. The importance of the event is confirmed by the fact that on the same day the State Duma even canceled the plenary session so that deputies could listen to the president's speech live. It can be assumed that, as in the previous time, citizens will be most interested in socio-economic problems. One of the central topics may be the sphere of education.
- First, parents have accumulated questions about the quality of education. Secondly, against the background of staffing shortage, the issue of training specialists needed by the economy is important. Thirdly, next year has been declared the Year of Mentor and Teacher. The profession should be rethought in the direction of more patriotic education and winning the mental war for future generations," political scientist Pavel Sklyanchuk told Izvestia.
In addition, among the most pressing issues that may be touched upon at the direct line may be the policy of values, the efficiency of public administration, including in the regions, as well as the effectiveness of the social policy being pursued, Dmitry Orlov, head of the Agency for Political and Economic Communications (APEC), told Izvestia. It is possible that the direct line will become a sociological cross-section of public inquiries, which will subsequently flow into a new message to the Federal Assembly next spring.
- A direct line is always a colossal sociological study. However, no sociologist works with millions of respondents, and Vladimir Putin's team does it every year, achieving an understanding of the state of a large Russian problem field," said Dmitry Orlov.
In addition, the direct line will obviously touch upon issues related to international relations and Russia's foreign policy. The event will take place against the backdrop of another round of escalation in Russia's relations with the West. In November, Western countries authorized Ukraine to use long-range weapons for strikes against Russia. The main expected foreign policy message from Vladimir Putin is Russia's readiness to toughly defend its interests in the upcoming dialog on the settlement of relations with Ukraine and other topics, Dmitry Orlov believes.
- Toughness in defending foreign policy interests, consistency in implementing social initiatives, and the need to accurately take into account the public mood are the main aspects of Vladimir Putin's political style, which are traditionally manifested during direct lines," he said.
At the same time, the majority of Russians are concerned about the prospects of victory in the NWO and the start of peace talks, said Pavel Sklyanchuk.
- The event will be mega-scale both in scope and content and will gather, in my opinion, three different audiences: the people, the elite and the international community. All of them will perceive the information voiced by the President in their own way and discuss new signals. First of all, everyone is interested in the prospects of approaching the victorious finish line in the NWO and the beginning of peace talks," he said.
It remains unclear how long the new direct line will last. However, last year it lasted more than four hours. During this time, the president answered 67 questions. Of these, 26 were asked by citizens and 33 by media representatives, including journalists from Turkey, China, the United States, France and the Republic of Srpska. As Dmitry Peskov noted earlier, the direct line has no clear timing and it is always a lengthy and informative event.
