- Video of the aftermath of the explosion at the site of General Kirillov's death published

"Izvestia" on December 17 published footage of the aftermath of an explosion in the entrance of a residential building on Ryazansky Avenue in Moscow, which killed Lieutenant General Igor Kirillov, head of the Radiation, Chemical and Biological Defense Troops of the Russian Armed Forces (AF), and his assistant.
The footage shows the entrance, from the doors and glazing of which almost nothing remains after the explosion, the floor is strewn with shrapnel.
Izvestia also showed the car of the deceased Kirillov parked at the entrance.
Igor Kirillov and his assistant were killed on the morning of December 17 as a result of detonation of an explosive device planted in a scooter near the entrance. The explosion occurred near a seven-story apartment building on Ryazansky Avenue in Moscow. A criminal case of murder, terrorist act and illegal arms trafficking (Article 105, Article 205 and Article 222 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation) was opened over the incident.
Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova noted that Kirillov had been systematically exposing Western crimes for many years, working fearlessly and never hiding behind the backs of others. In turn, the Russian foreign ministry's ambassador-at-large for Ukraine's crimes, Rodion Miroshnik, said that the evidence cited by the general was threatening and painful for Russia's opponents.
On the same day, footage of the moment of the alleged explosion that killed Kirillov and his aide was published. In the video, which was among the first to be circulated by Ukrainian Telegram channels, an explosion occurs at the moment when two men are leaving the entrance of an apartment building.
