Cloudy, light snow, in some places moderate, icy - such weather expects residents of the capital region on Tuesday, December 17. The corresponding forecast is published on the website of the Hydrometeorological Center.

The air temperature in Moscow during the day will vary from -2 to 0 degrees. At night, the thermometer columns will drop to -8.

In Moscow region during the day forecasters promise from -5 to 0 degrees, at night the temperature may fall to -11.

A westerly wind with a speed of 6-11 m/s is expected.

Atmospheric pressure will be 729-732 mm of mercury column.

On the eve, December 16, the main department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations in the capital issued an emergency warning, noting that the bad weather will last until Tuesday, December 17. Thus, snow, wet snow, snowstorms in some places, deposition of wet snow will persist until 10:00 am in Moscow. In some areas, ice and snow drifts are predicted, the department added.

At the same time, the head of the forecasting center "Meteo" Alexander Shuvalov said that before going into the plus area of the temperature scale, the region should visit severe frosts. According to him, the coldest will be on the night of Thursday, December 19- up to -19 degrees Celsius.
