Ukraine's ex-ambassador revealed plans for Kiev authorities to move to London in 2022

Ukraine discussed the possibility of moving the authorities to London in February 2022, former Ukrainian ambassador to the UK Vadym Prystayko said on December 16.
"We wanted to proactively make a proposal to the government at that time about possibly finding a place where we could continue [to run the country]. We spoke not about the government in exile, but about the continuation of the government," he said in an interview with the RBC-Ukraine news agency.
According to Prystayko, he made a similar proposal around February 8-10, 2022, when he accompanied former British Prime Minister Boris Johnson on a visit to Kiev.
Earlier, on October 19, former Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko said that Ukrainian officials fled Kiev immediately after Russia launched a special military operation. According to him, this happened already in the first few hours.
The special operation to protect Donbass, the start of which was announced on February 24, 2022, continues. The decision was taken against the background of the aggravation of the situation in the region due to shelling by the Ukrainian military.
