Brazilian president discharged from hospital after undergoing surgery

Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva has been discharged from the hospital after undergoing surgery. This was reported on December 15 by the portal G1.
"I am returning home now calmly, confident that I am cured and that I just need to take care of myself," the portal quoted him as saying.
Lula da Silva emphasized that he intends to follow the doctors' instructions and avoid physical activity. He also said that specialists advised him to stay calm, but allowed him to return to work.
In addition, the Brazilian president said he feels full of energy as a 30-year-old and has the strength of a 20-year-old to take care of the country.
"I will live until I am 120 years old," Lula da Silva concluded.
On December 10, the president was urgently hospitalized due to a brain hemorrhage. Medics called it the result of a head injury that Lula da Silva suffered in October at his home. The politician underwent surgery to remove the hematoma. He was reported to be in stable condition in the intensive care unit.
Brazilian Vice President Geraldo Alckmin temporarily took over some of the hospitalized head of state's duties.
On December 11, media reported another brain surgery on the Brazilian president. It is expected that no further bleeding will occur as a result, minimizing the risks to Lula's health. Later, on December 12, Lula da Silva underwent a second surgery. According to the statement of medics, the operation was successful. In turn, the Brazilian President said on December 13 that he had recovered from the second operation.
Earlier, October 20, Reuters reported that the Brazilian President will not go to the BRICS summit, following the recommendations of doctors after a head injury received at home. According to a medical report from a hospital in Brasilia, Lula da Silva suffered a laceration to the back of his head.
