Russian military told about the liberation of the Petrovka settlement in the DNR

The servicemen of the Center group of troops who took part in the liberation of the village of Petrovka in the Donetsk People's Republic (DNR) have told about the course of the assault. This was told in the Russian Defense Ministry on December 15.
"The task was for the group to enter the rear of Petrovka on the outskirts and not allow the enemy to bring reinforcements, and in parallel cut off the enemy's withdrawal," said the commander of the assault company, senior lieutenant Alexei Larin.
The storm troopers, supported by an armored group, swiftly entered the forest belts close to Petrovka and destroyed the enemy in the fortifications.
"There were about 20 of us. Went in groups, also moving forward. We started with the first house mopping up, so gradually moved forward, crushed the enemy," - said the commander of the squad junior sergeant Alexei Dubcheno.
Unmanned aerial vehicle crews, in conjunction with artillery crews and other units, adjusted the attackers' actions. Powerful fire support for the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation was provided by FPV drone units, which knocked the enemy out of the fortifications.
As a result of active and decisive actions, the servicemen took especially important positions and installed the Russian tricolor in the settlement.
Local residents were found in the basements of houses and released by the Russian servicemen.
Earlier, the Defense Ministry said that the Russian Armed Forces liberated the settlement of Zarya in the Donetsk People's Republic (DNR). Prior to that, the ministry reported the liberation of the settlements of Zheltoye and Blagodatnoye, Berestki, Pustynka and Sukhiye Yaly in the DNR.
Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Defense Committee Yury Shvytkin told Izvestia on December 5 that the Russian Armed Forces retain an advantage on the front. This is how he commented on the statement by Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andriy Sibiga that Kiev is not ready to make concessions on territories. He emphasized that Kiev needed "geopolitical certainty" on Ukraine as part of the Euro-Atlantic community.
