Putin congratulates participants of the Junior Science Olympiad


Russian President Vladimir Putin has congratulated the junior team that took part in the 21st International Science Olympiad in Bucharest. This is reported on the Kremlin website.
"Dear Ilya, Robert, Gleb, Timofei, Vyacheslav! I congratulate you on a worthy performance at the 21st International Junior Science Olympiad. In fair, tense competitions all participants of your united team have demonstrated deep, thorough knowledge and will to win, convincingly confirmed the significant potential of Russian education," the congratulatory telegram reads.
Putin thanked teachers, mentors, parents and all those who supported young people on this path.
Earlier, on December 13, Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Chernyshenko said that Russia is among the top ten countries in terms of education quality and among the top five in terms of international school Olympiads. He noted that despite the achievement of such serious results, the development of the education sector will not stop.
Before that, on December 3, schoolchildren, participants of the 40th Chinese National Mathematics Olympiad, which was held in the city of Ningbo, Zhejiang Province, returned to Russia. The press service of the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation reports that the guys showed the best result. They took four gold and two silver medals.
