In the Arkhangelsk region, employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations rescued a pensioner and a dog, who fell through the ice. This was reported on December 13 by the press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia.

As noted by representatives of the agency, the incident occurred near the village Korely, where the dog ran out on the thin ice of the river Kuznechikha, causing the animal to fall into the water. A 71-year-old man, trying to save the dog, put on a life jacket and took an aluminum boat with him. Putting the animal in the boat, the pensioner fell under the ice.

"The Russian Emergencies Ministry employees who arrived in time pulled the pensioner, his dog and the boat to the shore," - stated in the message of the Department in the Telegram-channel.

Earlier, on December 7, police officers rescued a group of tourists lost in bad weather during a trip to Cape Vindis on Sakhalin. Then it was noted that during the trip the weather sharply deteriorated, and when crossing the local river Gorbushi, one of the cars bogged down in the sand. In addition, telephone communication was lost due to further deterioration of the weather. The patrol crew that went out to search also got stuck in the sand. Local police officers then traveled nearly 80 km in their personal SUV to help the tourists and their colleagues.
