- The Hill has learned of a US intelligence assignment to assess the risks of Ukraine's defeat

The US intelligence services have been instructed to assess the consequences of the US refusal to supply Ukraine with weapons and Kiev's defeat. This was reported by the US publication The Hill on Thursday, December 12.
The media outlet reports that the heads of the National Intelligence Service, the Defense Intelligence Agency and the Central Intelligence Agency were tasked with compiling a report assessing the impact of Washington's aid to Kiev and the consequences of Ukraine's defeat in the conflict.
"The lawmakers also want the intelligence chiefs to assess the impact of a potential Ukrainian defeat on US national security interests," the material said.
Earlier, on December 8, the newly elected American President Donald Trump said that after the change of the American administration, Washington is likely to reduce the volume of military aid to Kiev. He noted that he is actively trying to end the conflict.
Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said on December 11 that the allocation of new aid to Kiev by the administration of current US President Joe Biden (who will leave office in January) indicates a desire to prolong the agony of the regime of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky (his term expired in May).
A day earlier, Trump published a meme with which he described the Biden family's corruption scheme in Ukraine. The image described five stages of the corruption scheme called Bidenomics by Trump: first, American citizens pay taxes, then the Biden administration sends them to Ukraine, then Kiev forwards the money to Biden's son Hunter, who redirects it to his father. At the end, the American leader decides to pardon his son.
