The SFD said it will raise indexation of pensions of working pensioners to 7.3% in 2025

Indexation of pensions of working pensioners will amount to 7.3% in 2025. This was reported by the press service of the Social Fund of Russia (SFR) on December 11.

"The estimated inflation rate, and therefore the indexation on January 1, 2025 will be 7.3%. The calculation of indexation will be based on the amount of 36,351.59 rubles (that is, taking into account all indexations)," - told in the SFR.

They specified that the pension of a working pensioner will grow by 2653.11 rubles per month. It is noted that this amount of indexation will be calculated from the amount that should have been in the case that in 2016 the government did not cancel indexation for working pensioners. This amount will be added to the payments that a person receives this year.

In addition, in the event that the pensioner resigns, in addition to the indexation increase for 2025, he will receive an increase to the pension, the amount of which will be calculated with the condition of indexations missed during his work.

"The maximum increase in January awaits those pensioners who previously quit their jobs," - specified in the press service.

Earlier, on December 5, a member of the Duma Committee on Labor, Social Policy and Veterans Affairs Svetlana Bessarab said that in 2025 all pensions in Russia will be indexed by 14.75%. It is specified that the increase in payments will occur from April 1, 2025. According to Bessarab, the social supplement to pensions will guarantee the subsistence minimum even for those pensioners whose incomes are below this level in their region.
