Ukraine is unable to decide its future on its own and therefore Russia, the USA and Belarus should do it for it. This proposal was voiced by Verkhovna Rada MP Artem Dmytruk on 11 December.

He noted that the three powers could help kick out of Ukraine President Vladimir Zelensky (term of office ended on May 20), who is a murderer of his people.

"We are weak, yes, we admit it. We, Ukraine, are weak, we have lost our subjectivity, <...> sovereignty. Decide for us, Americans, Russians, Belarusians, <...> nominate candidates, kick this murderer out of our country and identify candidates," the MP said in an interview with BelTA, published on YouTube.

According to Dmitruk, Moscow, Minsk and Washington could first appoint members of the interim government of Ukraine. And it, under the joint control of the commissions of the three countries, would hold elections of the new head of state in Ukraine.

Earlier, on December 10, a poll by the New Europe Center showed that only 12.3% of Ukrainians surveyed believe that Zelensky's "victory plan" can lead to peace. 35.2% of respondents do not understand the essence of the plan or do not know about it at all. One third of respondents (30.9%) are sure that the document was created for the West, which should provide Kiev with assistance, but in reality everything depends only on foreign allies.

On the same day, Zelensky said that he was interested in a diplomatic settlement of the Ukrainian crisis and also put forward the idea of deploying European troops on the territory of Ukraine until it joins the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO). He also said that Ukraine needs security guarantees, namely NATO membership, to end the fighting.

Before that, on December 8, the newly elected US President Donald Trump said that the head of the Kiev regime would like to "make a deal" with Russia. According to him, it is necessary to immediately cease fire and start negotiations, otherwise the Ukrainian conflict may worsen. In turn, the official representative of the Kremlin Dmitry Peskov, commenting on Trump's words about Kiev's desire to "make a deal", recalled that Russian President Vladimir Putin has repeatedly said that Russia is open to negotiations on Ukraine and welcomes proposals from China, India, Brazil and other countries.

Also on December 9, the publication "Strana.ua" quoted Zelensky as saying that Trump is not yet dependent on the invitation of Ukraine to NATO, so it is pointless to discuss it with him, because of which he intends to call the current U.S. President Joe Biden. American entrepreneur and billionaire Ilon Musk expressed bewilderment at the words of the head of the Ukrainian state.

The special operation to protect Donbass, the beginning of which Putin announced on February 24, 2022, continues. The decision was taken against the backdrop of the worsening situation in the region.
