Employees of the call-center for the preparation of Russian President Vladimir Putin 's direct line told Izvestia on December 9 about their tasks within the framework of processing citizens' appeals.

"We control the implementation and fulfillment of those appeals that have been received to the President of the Russian Federation, so we continue communication, I repeat, with all responsible departments," explained Dmitry Tsvich, head of the People's Front's expert board in the social sphere.

He noted that many issues are redirected not only to the local level, but also to federal ministries by virtue of their powers.

Most of the volunteers in the call-center answer phone calls. In addition, there is a provision for communication with citizens via video link, correspondent Anton Zolotnitsky clarified.

According to the coordinator of the youth wing of the "People's Front" in the Komi Republic Daria Krepysheva, the main task of operators is to record appeals from all regions of the country. They can relate to completely different topics, including pensions, rising prices, housing and utilities issues or a special military operation.

"Our task is to partially help, if suddenly a person is worried on the other side of the wire, to help him formulate an appeal. Or there are those citizens who have already prepared, who read out their appeal from a document, from paper, and we just fix it," said Krepysheva.

In turn, the operator named Maxim said that thanks to the call-center new jobs are being opened for people with blindness disabilities, who draw up questionnaires and appeals with the help of a voice assistant.

The direct line of the head of state will be held on December 19, it will be combined with a large press conference. The events will be held under the title "The results of the year with Vladimir Putin". Call-center at the headquarters of the "Popular Front" started working on the night of December 8 and already in the first hours processed several hundred appeals.

Earlier, on December 6, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said that representatives of Western media, as well as foreign journalists accredited in Russia, had been invited to Putin 's press conference.

The previous direct line with the Russian leader was held on December 14, 2023. In total, the president received more than 2 million questions from citizens. During the event, the Russian leader answered questions about Russia's special military operation in Ukraine, new regions of the Russian Federation, the growth of real wages, pensions, life expectancy, healthcare, development of artificial intelligence, and also touched on a number of other topics.
