Russia approves tax deferral for residents of the Kursk region


The Russian Government has approved the decision on tax deferral for residents of Kursk region. This December 9 follows from the publication on the website of the Cabinet of Ministers.
"A decree has been signed on the possibility of obtaining a deferral on payment of transport and land taxes, as well as property tax on individuals for citizens residing in the Kursk region," the publication says.
Deferment will be granted to citizens who as of August 1 of the current year lived in the Kursk region or border region, where the regime of counter-terrorist operation has been introduced and a decision on resettlement has been made in respect of the residents.
The regional government was recommended to determine the list of territories. It is specified that the decision applies to taxes payable in 2024. The payment is allowed until December 1, 2025.
Earlier, on November 29, Deputy Prime Minister Marat Khusnullin reported on the beginning of payments of compensation for rent to the affected residents of the Kursk region. According to him, the government is doing a lot of work to help the affected citizens.
Ukrainian militants attacked Russian positions in the border areas of Kursk region on August 6. The situation in the region was recognized as a state of emergency of federal character. The operation to destroy the enemy continues.
The Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) are trying to strike Russian territories against the background of the special operation in Donbass, the start of which was announced on February 24, 2022. The decision was taken due to the aggravation of the situation in the region due to shelling by the Ukrainian military.
