Ukrainian Foreign Minister rules out compromise with Russia on territorial issue

Ukraine is not ready to make territorial concessions to Russia. This was stated by Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andriy Sibiga at the summit of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) in Malta.
"There will be no compromises on our territorial integrity, sovereignty or future security," his words are quoted in the Telegram channel "Strana.ua".
Sibiga emphasized that Kiev needs "geopolitical certainty" on Ukraine as part of the Euro-Atlantic community.
On the same day, the head of the office of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy (whose term expired on May 20), Andriy Yermak, said that he was not looking pessimistically at negotiations with Russia.
The Street Journal, citing a source, also reported that the Ukrainian side was ready to start negotiations on a sustainable peace with Russia. The piece notes that "conflict-weary Ukraine" is ready for a ceasefire if it is allowed to join NATO.
Russian President Vladimir Putin back in June at a meeting with the leadership of the Russian Foreign Ministry named the conditions for negotiations on Ukraine. Thus, Ukrainian troops should leave the territories of the new regions of the Russian Federation, and Kiev should give up the idea of NATO integration.
The last round of negotiations took place in Istanbul on March 29, 2022. They lasted about three hours. Later, Kiev officially refused contacts with Moscow. On October 4 of the same year, the decision of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine on the impossibility of holding talks with Putin was put into effect.
