Peskov says Russian Federation ready to welcome mediation efforts on Ukraine

Russia is ready to welcome all mediation efforts to settle the situation in Ukraine. Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said this on December 5.
"We are ready to welcome all mediation efforts," RIA Novosti quoted him as saying.
Earlier, on November 25, future U.S. presidential national security adviser Mike Walz said that work on organizing talks on the Ukrainian conflict would begin in January.
On November 22, Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council Dmitry Medvedev said that US President-elect Donald Trump has every opportunity to end the conflict because Washington has all the tools to stop hostilities. He noted that Moscow does not rely on Trump or anyone else in the Ukrainian issue.
On November 14, Trump promised to "work very hard" to end the conflict in Ukraine. Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said that Moscow will wait for proposals to this effect and is ready to consider them.
Russian President Vladimir Putin named the conditions for negotiations on Ukraine at a meeting with the leadership of the Russian Foreign Ministry back in June. Thus, Ukrainian troops should leave the territories of the new regions of the Russian Federation, and Kiev should give up the idea of NATO integration.
