Russia is ready to consider US President-elect Donald Trump's proposals on Ukraine but will not compromise its national interests, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergey Ryabkov said on December 4.

"When this moment comes and they come to us with ideas, we will be ready. We will certainly study them carefully. But rest assured - not to the detriment of the basic elements of our official position," he said in an interview with US channel CNN.

At the moment, Moscow has had no direct contact with Trump and his team about his comments on ending the Ukrainian conflict in 24 hours, the diplomat clarified.

Earlier in the day, Reuters reported that Trump's team has three proposals for resolving the situation in Ukraine: the plan of special envoy Keith Kellogg, Vice President-elect Jay Dee Vance and former acting intelligence chief Richard Grenell.

Prior to that, on November 22, Dmitry Medvedev, deputy chairman of Russia's Security Council, said that Trump has options to end the conflict. At the same time, he said, Moscow does not rely on Trump or anyone else in the Ukrainian issue.

On November 14, Trump promised to "work very hard" to end the conflict in Ukraine. Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said that the Russian side would wait for proposals and was ready to consider them.
