The team of the newly elected US President Donald Trump has three main ideas on how to resolve the conflict in Ukraine. This was reported by Reuters on Wednesday, December 4, citing four advisers from the Republican's team.

"There are three main proposals: a plan from [President-elect Keith] Kellogg's [special envoy for Ukraine and Russia], one from Vice President-elect J.D. Vance, and another put forward by Richard Grenell, Trump's former acting intelligence chief," the piece said.

Reuters reports that Kellogg's plan involves freezing hostilities in Ukraine, providing security guarantees to Kiev from Washington (including a possible increase in arms deliveries after an agreement is reached), suspending Ukraine's NATO membership and increasing its military aid if Russia refuses to negotiate.

The content of Vance and Grenell's plans was not specified in the article, Gazeta.Ru noted.

Earlier, on November 22, Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council Dmitry Medvedev said that Trump has every opportunity to end the conflict because Washington has all the tools to end hostilities. He noted that Moscow does not rely on Trump or anyone else in the Ukrainian issue.

On November 14, Trump promised to "work very hard" to end the conflict in Ukraine. Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said that Moscow will wait for proposals to this effect and is ready to consider them.

Before that, on November 12, former Democratic Congresswoman Tulsi Gabbard said that Trump's goal is to prevent World War III. She noted that all diplomatic measures should be tried before sending the US Armed Forces to hot spots, and this is one of the reasons why many Americans voted for Trump.

The election for the 47th president of the United States was held on November 5. In the national vote, Trump received 51% of the vote, while Democratic candidate Kamala Harris received 47.4%. The next day, the politician, speaking to supporters, called himself the 47th President of the United States and said that his goal as head of state considers the end of military conflicts in the world.
