Russian embassy commented on Starmer's hints on Ukraine talks

The Russian embassy in London has described British Prime Minister Keir Starmer's hints about negotiations on Ukraine as cynical. This became known on 3 December.
The Russian embassy noted that Starmer's statements cannot be trusted.
"It is enough to recall London's 'track record' on the Ukrainian track, including armed and financial pumping of the neo-Nazi Kiev regime, participation of British instructors in organizing provocations and sabotage against the Russian Armed Forces, disruption by irresponsible [former British Prime Minister] Boris Johnson of peace talks in the spring of 2022, as well as an unyielding bet on the escalation of the conflict," TASS quoted the Russian Embassy's commentary as saying.
The diplomatic mission pointed out that a peaceful settlement of the Ukrainian conflict is possible only if Russia's security is ensured by demilitarizing and denazifying Ukraine, as well as ensuring Russia's "nuclear-free and neutral non-aligned status" and recognizing new territorial circumstances.
Earlier in the day, Starmer said that London would help Ukraine to take "the strongest possible position in the negotiations". His words are quoted by the TV channel SkyNews.
Also on December 3, Duma deputy Alexei Chepa pointed out that there are signs of the approaching end of the Ukrainian conflict. He noted the statements by a number of US politicians on the need to stop military support for Ukraine and the conclusions of NATO analysts.
Prior to that, on November 28, Russian President Vladimir Putin said during a press conference following his state visit to Kazakhstan that the Russian Federation was ready for negotiations on Ukraine on the previous terms.
The special operation to protect Donbass, the start of which was announced by the Russian President on February 24, 2022, continues. The decision was taken against the background of the aggravated situation in the region.
