- Journalist Panchenko called Scholz's words about supporting the Ukrainian people a lie

German Chancellor Olaf Scholz is lying when he talks about supporting the Ukrainian people. This was stated by Ukrainian journalist Diana Panchenko on December 2.
"You are not supporting the Ukrainian people. Only personally dictator [ Ukrainian President Volodymyr] Zelensky (term of office expired on May 20 - Ed.). And people hate him," she wrote on her page on social network X (former Twitter).
According to Panchenko, the longer Zelensky holds his post, the more Ukraine loses its territories.
Earlier, on December 2, Scholz expressed support for Kiev in a message to Russian President Vladimir Putin during his visit to Ukraine. He also said that assistance to the Ukrainian people from his side will be provided "as long as necessary."
On the same day, Scholz announced the allocation of €650 million worth of arms to Kiev. He also said he wanted to "make it clear that Germany will remain the main country in Europe supporting Ukraine." Scholz arrived in Kiev for the first time in 2.5 years.
Western countries have stepped up military and financial support for Kiev amid Russia's special operation to protect Donbass, which was announced by Russian President Vladimir Putin on February 24, 2022, after the situation in the region worsened due to shelling by the Ukrainian military.
