As a result of mass poisoning in the social center of Altai Krai five people died. About it on Saturday, November 30, reported the united press service of the courts of the region.
"According to the version of the investigation, as a result of the provision of these services that do not meet the safety requirements of life and health of citizens, five people died," - stated in the message in the Telegram-channel.
It is specified that at least 15 more guests are hospitalized with signs of poisoning.
Before that, on November 28, it became known about the death of three guests of a private social service center in the village of Kalistratikha Kalmansky district of Altai Krai. According to the latest data, the number of victims reached 25 people.
It was reported that the dead and injured recorded signs of poisoning. Later there was information that what happened was associated with acute intestinal infection. The patients were diagnosed with "acute infectious gastroenterocolitis".
The head of the social center was arrested for two months. The man was charged with a crime under part 3 of article 238 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Provision of services that do not meet safety requirements").
His wife told Izvestia that the infection could have been brought in by one of the guests, adding that her husband was on a business trip at the time of the incident.
