Elena Dotsu, a tourist from Moscow, reported on November 27 that passengers were not provided with safety equipment or briefing before going into the Barents Sea.

"In Teriberka we were organized to go to sea, but we were not provided with vests and other safety equipment and were not briefed. Someone was in the cabin, someone on the deck, and at one point the boat began to lurch and turn 90 degrees," Dotsu said.

According to her, there were two boats near the sinking vessel, which rescued all the tourists.

Many of them had personal belongings and documents on board. Tourists got bumps and bruises. According to preliminary data, there are no casualties.

Elena reported that she found a tour called "Youth Teriberka" on the Internet.

The three-day tour cost 35 thousand rubles, excluding transfers, included a tour of Murmansk, a boat ride, reindeer and dog sledding, according to the information previously published on the marketplace of author's tours YouTravel. The tour details page is now unavailable.

"The tour has been temporarily removed from publication due to additional verification. We are committed to ensuring maximum safety for our travelers and will update the information as soon as possible," reads a placard on the tour page.

Earlier in the day, a pleasure boat with tourists on board overturned in the waters of the Barents Sea in the Murmansk region. It is specified that the incident occurred in the village of Teriberka. According to the Izvestia source, there were 11 tourists on board the ship "Boets". They were rescued by the ship "St. Catherine".

It is reported that a criminal case was opened in Murmansk after the capsizing of a pleasure craft with passengers near the village of Teriberka in the Barents Sea. The prosecutor's office is checking compliance with the rules of safety of operation of water transportation, establishes the circumstances and causes of the accident.

A high wave could be the cause of the roll, due to which the ship "Boyets" began to sink near the village of Teriberka in the Barents Sea. The incident occurred in the morning 500 meters east of the "Sifudrus" berth in the Murmansk region. In addition to the captain, there were nine tourists from Moscow and St. Petersburg on board, all of whom were taken ashore.
