Vladivostok and Blagoveshchensk have already seen the first damage, and the city's schools have been put on free attendance. Snowfall in Blagoveshchensk does not stop for almost two days, it was called the "storm of the century". In the capital of the Amur region on Tuesday night was broken the record of precipitation, set 97 years ago. Three ten-day norms fell on the city during the day.

As Olga Chetyrina, chief forecaster of the Amur Hydrometeorological Center, notes, in 1927 only 3.2 mm of precipitation fell, while in the past night hours it was 8.8 mm. At the same time, the figures may not be final. Thus, on Wednesday night in the city fell 13 mm of precipitation. In total, since the beginning of the snowfall - 36 mm.

According to the message of the governor of the Amur region Vasily Orlov, the local authorities were advised to cancel all mass and cultural and sporting events. Moreover, he advised employers to transfer employees to remote mode in the coming days. Schools and universities have already switched to this format.

It is reported that all domestic flights are delayed for departure from the city, as well as one international flight to Utapao. Strong wind in Vladivostok and its vicinities rose on the night of Tuesday, November 26. The bad weather came from the Korean Peninsula. The maximum speed, so far recorded in the city for the last day, amounted to 23.8 m/s. According to the Primorsky Krai Hydrometeorological Center, today, November 27, it may reach more than 30 m/s.

"In Nakhodka, Partizansk, Preobrazhenie may fall up to 40 mm of precipitation. Along the east coast rain, in the mountains wet snow, up to 25-30 mm. Given that the cold air mass will approach the Primorsky Krai, tonight and tomorrow afternoon will already be cold, negative temperatures. Where there is wet snow, rain, it will freeze and there will be icing", - says the head of PrimHydromet Baris Kubai.

Yesterday, November 26, a tree fell down on Polaya Street by gusts of wind, which collapsed directly on the cars parked nearby. No one was injured. In the dormitory on Derzhavina Street the glazing was damaged: there were broken windows on the stairwell. In the vicinity of construction sites fly garbage and remains of building materials, eyewitnesses from Kashtanova, Aleutskaya reported about it. On Pogranichnaya Street, the wind fell a stand with the passport of the construction site.

The Ministry of Transportation warned that because of the strong wind there is a probability of closing the Zolotoy and low-water bridges. Further development of events will depend on whether the gusts will intensify. In case the speed will exceed 30 m/s, the ways will be closed for all vehicles - from cars to vans. Now more than 200 special machines are working on clearing roads in the region. The roads in Yakovlevsky, Lazovsky, Pogranichny, Khankaisky, Olginsky and other districts are being treated with sand and salt mixture.

Against the background of bad weather, Vladivostok's department for work with municipal educational institutions announced free attendance, i.e. students' failure to attend classes is not considered truancy. Most of the classes in higher educational institutions, in particular, FEFU, have been transferred to the online format.

In addition, the head of Vladivostok Konstantin Shestakov appealed to the heads of organizations with a request to reduce the working day or transfer to remote work.

When the bad weather in the Far East will end

According to the forecast of forecasters, snow is expected in most of the Amur region, and in the central, southern and eastern regions - heavy snow. The amount of precipitation may exceed the monthly figures by two to three times. Intense snowfall is predicted until the evening of Wednesday, November 27.

It is expected that already on Thursday, the snow cyclone will begin to retreat, and with it the temperatures unprecedentedly high for November. It will become much colder, the snow will be replaced by wind and snowstorms.
