Almost 50% of Russians admitted to wanting to become self-employed

The services "Work.ru" and "Podrabotka" conducted a survey and found out how many Russians would like to become self-employed and why. More than 3.5 thousand respondents from all regions of Russia took part in the study. Izvestia got acquainted with the results on Wednesday, November 27.

According to the study, 47% of the surveyed Russians would like to become self-employed. Among the advantages 45% of survey participants noted the possibility to engage in several types of activities. Another 44% would like to combine employment and self-employment. And 24% highlighted such a plus as low taxation.

For 18% of respondents the self-employed format of work was preferable because of minimal reporting, and for 17% - because of simple registration. In addition, 9% would like to formalize self-employment in order to have official confirmation of income.

At the same time, 16% of respondents highlighted the option "Other", in which they noted the remote format of work, free schedule and other advantages.

On average, Russians said that they would like to receive Br161 thousand for part-time work. Muscovites would like to earn Br189 thousand for part-time work, while St. Petersburg residents - Br120 thousand. Residents of Nizhny Novgorod region would like to earn Br170 thousand, while the Sverdlovsk residents noted the amount of Br101 thousand.

At the same time, men would like to earn Br160 thousand per month on average, while women - Br143 thousand.

Earlier, November 19, it was reported that the majority of surveyed Russians (85%), who work from home for more than five years, do not want to return to the office. This was found out by analysts "Contur.Tolka". At the same time, 40% of respondents said that their productivity does not fall with this format of work.
