Astronauts from the ISS orbit congratulated Russian women on Mother's Day
Roscosmos cosmonauts Alexander Gorbunov, Ivan Wagner and Alexei Ovchinin from the International Space Station (ISS) orbit congratulated Russian women on Mother's Day on November 24. The video of congratulations was published by the organizing committee of the Year of the Family in the Telegram channel.
"Family plays a huge role in the formation of each person's personality. It is mutual understanding, support, love, care that we receive from our loved ones, especially from our moms. Your care warms us on the coldest days and helps us overcome any difficulties," Ovchinin said.
Wagner emphasized that motherly love is a great power that can heal and inspire. Gorbunov noted that it is important to appreciate motherly care.
The cosmonauts also wished all mothers, grandmothers, sisters and wives endless happiness, warmth and health.
Mother's Day is celebrated on the last Sunday of November, in 2024 it fell on the 24th day.
Earlier in the day it became known that more than 60% of surveyed mothers in Russia called psychological stability and self-confidence the most important skills for the future adult life of the child. At the same time, every second (54%) woman noted the importance of communication skills, and more than 40% of respondents - financial literacy skills: knowledge of the basics of money management and budget planning.
November 21, it was reported about the initiative, according to which it is proposed to oblige employers to transfer pregnant women and women with children under three years of age to a remote mode of work at their request. It was noted that the bill with such support measures will be submitted to the State Duma by Deputy Chairman of the Committee on Construction and Housing Alexander Aksenenko and the leader of the faction "Fair Russia - For Truth" Sergei Mironov.
