Ukraine expects to receive peace plan from US in January

Ukraine expects to receive a peace plan from US President-elect Donald Trump in January. Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Zelenskyy, whose term of office expired on 20 May, said this on 23 November.
He noted that he is ready to consider proposals from the leaders of African countries, Asia and Arab states.
"I want to see the proposals of the new President of the United States of America. I think we will see these proposals already in January," - quotes Zelensky's words "Strana.ua" in his Telegram-channel.
He also expressed confidence that Ukraine would have a plan to end the conflict.
On the eve of the Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council Dmitry Medvedev said that Trump can end the conflict in Ukraine, as Washington has all the tools to end hostilities. He also called Trump a pragmatic man and pointed out that "Washington has all the keys" to resolve the conflict. According to Medvedev, current US President Joe Biden will leave a "heavy legacy" after leaving office.
In mid-November, Trump promised to "work very hard" to end the conflict in Ukraine. Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said Moscow would wait for proposals to this effect and was ready to consider them. On the same day, Rutte recognized that Kiev was failing and called for continued military aid to Ukraine.
Western countries have stepped up military and financial support for Ukraine amid Russia's special operation to protect Donbass, which began on February 24, 2022. The decision to carry it out was made by the Russian president due to the aggravation of the situation in the region due to the increased shelling by Ukrainian troops.
