On November 22, Russia celebrates Sons' Day. This family holiday has recently appeared and is not yet officially fixed, but it has already managed to win the love of Russians. In 2024, the festive date falls on Friday. About how it is celebrated in our country, tell "Izvestia".

History and traditions of the Day of sons - 2024

When and from where the holiday originally came, it is not known exactly. According to various sources, it was first celebrated in Yakutia in 2017, and four years later - throughout the country. Most likely, the tradition was borrowed from other countries where similar celebrations exist.

Holidays dedicated to sons exist in different parts of the world, but they are celebrated on different dates. For example, in the United States, National Sons Day is celebrated annually on September 28. And in Japan there is a Holiday of Boys, which falls on May 5.

There are no unified traditions at the holiday date either. How exactly to spend the Day of Sons, each family decides for itself. The main thing is to surround your child with attention, love and care, giving him a sea of impressions and a great mood.

How to congratulate on the Day of sons on November 22

On the Day of sons congratulate both small and already adult men. Younger boys are given gifts based on their interests and hobbies: computer, game console, art sets, clothes and so on. Some are limited to a trip to the movies, amusement parks or cafes, trying to capture happy moments.

Older sons are given perfume sets, razors, car gadgets and other useful accessories in the home and at work. A good gift will also be a photo in a frame with a vivid memory of childhood.

It can be a joint celebration of any family holiday, birthday, school pictures or photos from a joint trip. Such a gift will remind of the years of childhood, causing warm feelings.

If adult sons live in another city or country, pictures and greeting cards can be sent in messengers or social networks, supplementing them with funny captions. You can also record a video greeting. It will shorten the distance and allow the family to be closer.
