Russian embassy says 70 rounds of Canadian sanctions against Russia

Canada has imposed more than 70 rounds of restrictions against Russian individuals and legal entities. This was reported to "Izvestia" in the Russian Embassy in Ottawa.
"There are over 700 Russian companies and structures in the sanctions lists, under personal restrictions - almost 2 thousand people. All existing licenses for exports to Russia and the issuance of new ones have been suspended. Restrictions have been imposed on deliveries of a wide range of commodity nomenclature. Most-favored-nation treatment has been unilaterally abolished, which entails the imposition of 35 percent duties on our potential exporters. Canadian airspace and waters are closed for Russian-related airplanes and sea vessels," the Russian diplomatic mission noted.
Despite this, Moscow remains open for dialog with Ottawa.
"In the wake of such denounced Russophobia of Ottawa, it is difficult to talk about any official contacts at any level at the current stage. At the same time, we are not closing the door for dialog," said the Russian diplomatic mission in Canada.
