UK imposes sanctions against Russian youth organizations

The United Kingdom has imposed sanctions against the All-Russian children's and youth movement Yunarmia and the Avangard military-patriotic education center. The data was published on Tuesday, November 19, on the website of the British government.
"Subjected to sanctions Tatyana Zavalska, appointed head of the Kherson orphanage, and Vitaly Suk, director of the boarding school in Kherson," the statement said.
The blacklist also included Nikita Nagorny, head of the main staff of "Unarmy", Igor Kazarezov, head of the center of youth education "Warrior", Andrei Sabinov, head of military-sports training of the same center, Elena Sharupova, pro-rector for the development of additional education of Zaporizhzhya State Technical University, and two other persons.
The reason for the sanctions is the support of these people and organizations for the special military operation.
On the eve of the Council of the European Union (EU) blacklisted three Russian shipping companies - MG Flot, VTS Broker and Arapax, as well as the company Islamic Republic of Iran Shipping Lines (IRISL) and its director Mohammad Reza. The EU cited Tehran's alleged support of Moscow in the special operation as the reason.
Before that, on November 9, the head of diplomacy of the European Union Josep Borrell at a press conference in Kiev said that the EU is preparing a 15th package of anti-Russian sanctions.
On October 14, MEP Lebos Blaga said in an interview with Izvestia that sanctions against Russia mean a long-term prospect of economic suicide in Europe.
Western countries increased sanctions pressure on the Russian Federation after the start of the special operation to protect civilians in Donbass, which was announced on February 24, 2022.
