Na-Na" band members bid farewell to Levkin


Members of the band "Na-Na" said goodbye to the former lead singer of the group Vladimir Levkin in Moscow on Tuesday, November 19.
Vladimir Politov, Vyacheslav Zherebkin and Mikhail Igonin came to the farewell ceremony.
"We were at the airport. Called Kai Metov in the morning, said that Levkin died. I did not believe it at all. This is the combination "Levkin died" did not fit in any way. He led an active way of life, went to different events until the very last day. There was a shock", - said Zherebkin.
Another member of the group "Na-Na" Igonin also shared his memories of his colleague. According to him, the musicians were regularly interested in each other's creative plans. The last time the group saw Levkin several years ago at a Moscow concert.
The ceremony of farewell to the ex-soloist began earlier in the day in the large funeral hall of Troekurovsky cemetery in Moscow. The artist also came to see off relatives, friends, fans and colleagues, including journalist Ernest Matskevicius, singer Yuta, soloist of the Operetta Theater Leonid Batalin, Honored Artist of the Russian Federation Kai Metov and others.
Former soloist of the group "Na-Na" Vladimir Levkin died at the 58th year of life. As specified the source of "Izvestia", the man was ill with leukemia and died in intensive care.
Earlier, on November 17, singer Marina Devyatova said that Levkin loved life very much and appreciated it. She called the artist an incredibly kind and decent person, and also pointed out that he was absolutely unapologetic.
Levkin was born on June 6, 1967 in Moscow. At the age of six he entered a music school in the class of accordion, he also played guitar. His career in the group "Na-Na" began after participating in a competition organized by producer Bari Alibasov. At the qualifying rounds of the contest Levkin performed songs of his own composition. The singer performed in the group until 1998.
Levkin was a graduate of Gnesinka and the directing faculty of GITIS. He starred in TV series, wrote a poetry collection and performed solo, as well as in the band Kedbl.
