The bandwidth of the Starlink satellite network will increase 100-fold within two to three years due to the launch of a new generation of devices. This was announced on November 6 by SpaceX founder Elon Musk in an interview with entrepreneur Ron Baron, which was posted on his YouTube channel by Tesla investor Matt Potsius.

"There are currently 11,000 satellites in orbit, mostly V2 devices. We have just started launching V3 satellites," Musk said.

The founder of SpaceX clarified that V3 satellites are more than 10 times more powerful than the previous version in terms of their capabilities. The company also intends to launch 10 times more of these devices, which will significantly increase network bandwidth.

On September 28, SpaceX launched a new generation Starship rocket into its first orbital flight, launching from the Starbase complex in Texas. The unmanned system with a height of about 40 floors includes a Super Heavy accelerator and a Starship ship. The first full-time satellite deployment is planned during the current mission. The flight program includes six orbits around the Earth, which will take about 10 hours.
