Samara Mayor Ivan Noskov will step down from his post on December 1. This was announced on November 2 by the Governor of the Samara region Vyacheslav Fedorishchev at an operational meeting of the regional government.

"Until December 1, Ivan Nikolaevich [Noskov] continues to work with us, then moves on to promotion. This month we continue to work as we have been working until the city finds a new head," Fedorishchev said in a recording of the broadcast published by the Samara Region channel on VK Video.

He also indicated that the name of the new mayor will be announced later. Ivan Noskov became the mayor of Samara in December 2024. Prior to that, he served two consecutive terms as head of the Dzerzhinsk city district, and on October 2, 2024, he voluntarily resigned.

For his labor achievements and many years of diligent work, he was awarded the medal of the Order of Merit for the Fatherland, II degree.

Earlier in the day, Kirill Khizhinsky, who previously served as Deputy Prime Minister of Primorsky Krai, was appointed acting head of Vladivostok. The new acting mayor will have to pay special attention to the repair and construction of roads, the implementation of the Neftewetka and Rudnevsky Bridge projects, the asphalting of Russian Island and the development of public transport, as well as the modernization of heating networks.
