A captured militant of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) Yevgeny Anufriy on Tuesday, October 27, said that detachments armed with FPV drones do not allow Ukrainians to calmly surrender to Russian captivity.

The man was forcibly mobilized, and six employees of the shopping mall (an analog of the military enlistment office in Ukraine) treated him, according to him, "without much ceremony."

"I was riding a bike. They threw it in like a sack of potatoes. And they took him to the military medical commission without asking. Stolen, in short, from the street. I passed the medical examination in five minutes. They didn't ask me what diseases I have, what hurts me," Anufriy said in a video provided by the Russian Defense Ministry.

None of the doctors even asked about the fact that the man had already been declared unfit to serve in the army. He was captured near Krasny Liman in the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR). According to him, this happened due to a lack of planning in the command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, which actually sent them to the front line to "plug holes", "for slaughter".

"We were told that we would be deployed for five days. They promised rotation later. There was no rotation," the prisoner admits.

However, once at the forefront, the military quickly found themselves cut off from the main forces. The commanders did not even give their subordinates provisions. They tried to look for food in neighboring dugouts, and drank water from puddles, having no experience of either surviving or participating in hostilities. In addition, the Ukrainian Armed Forces had defensive detachments everywhere.

"We couldn't go forward or back. Ours stood like a barrier. Well, FPV guns could have easily destroyed us," says the prisoner of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The Ukrainian voluntarily surrendered to the soldiers of the Zapad group of forces of the Russian Armed Forces in order to stay alive. He also noted that Russians treat prisoners with dignity.

On October 18, Ukrainian prisoner of war Viktor Voloshchenyuk said that Ukrainians were tired of fighting and wanted to return to a peaceful life. According to him, the citizens of the country did not seek conflict with Russia and are dissatisfied with the actions of the authorities. Voloshchenyuk added that Ukrainians are convinced that President Volodymyr Zelensky should sit down at the negotiating table.
