A passenger bus that collided with a Skoda car in Yekaterinburg was carrying schoolchildren from a culinary quest. Elena, the mother of one of the victims, told Izvestia about this on October 23.

She explained that the trip was planned a month ago. Nine children were accompanied by two parents. Due to the small number of students, it was decided not to book a tour bus and take public transport.

"My daughter hit her head on the seat, she was standing at the end of the bus, and a lot of people fell on her. As a result, my head is spinning, I feel sick, my back and legs hurt. They question concussion. <...> There don't seem to be any leg fractures, but she gets up and can't walk, she takes a couple of steps and it hurts," Elena said.

According to her, one of the escorts was taken to the hospital with fractured ribs. She added that a young girl who was traveling with them had lost several teeth from the impact, and her face and mouth were covered in blood.

The accident occurred on the morning of October 23rd on 8 Marta Street. According to a source in Izvestia, 15 people were injured in the incident. The State Traffic Inspectorate clarified that the driver of the car died from his injuries.

According to one eyewitness, the collision was so violent that the seats in the bus folded into several rows. He clarified that the accident occurred due to the fact that the Skoda car drove into the oncoming lane.
