A wolf mauled a pet dog in the Pskov region

A wolf killed a pet dog in the village of Solonovo in the Pskov region. The dog was about 16-17 years old, he was picked up by a local resident when she was a teenager and took care of him.

The tragedy occurred on the night of October 18. In the morning, the owner found only half of the dog next to the booth. On the path towards the forest belt of the Vaulin Mountains, there were parts of the pet's body: tail, skin and tufts of fur.

"And we think it wasn't just one wolf, because all that was left of the dog was its head and front paws," said the owner of the deceased animal.

The villagers are very concerned about what is happening, the Pskov News feed writes. If a dog is stolen from someone else, the locals will have to contact hunters to shoot wolves.

Earlier, Izvestia wrote how the problem of bear attacks on people is being solved in the regions. In the Urals, for example, they increased the production of animals, and in Siberia they increased patrolling the area.
