Four workers died at the construction site of the new Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSMC) plant in southern Taiwan. After the incident, part of the construction work was suspended, the Reuters news agency reported on October 21, citing the company.

"Four workers died on Tuesday during the installation of steel structures at a facility in Kaohsiung," the article says.

It is clarified that the company, together with the contractor, stopped the relevant work on the site, as well as similar work on the installation of steel structures at other construction sites in Taiwan, pending the completion of the investigation. The company's Internal Security Service, together with the competent authorities and the contractor, establishes the circumstances of the incident and determines the necessary measures.

In the Colombian department of Nariño, on October 19, an illegal mine collapsed, killing 14 people and injuring seven others. The landslide covered about 30 miners. According to the authorities, the search has been completed, all the people trapped under the rubble have been found, and there are no missing persons.
