A special military operation to protect the civilian population of Donbass has been conducted by Russia since February 24, 2022. Also in the Kharkiv region, the manpower and equipment of the mechanized, motorized infantry brigades and two assault regiments of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the areas of Sosnovka, Makarovo, Veliky Burluk and Svetlichne settlements of the Kharkiv region were affected. In the Sumy region, formations of the mechanized brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the air defense brigade were defeated in the areas of the settlements of Khoten and Bondarevshchyna in the Sumy region. The enemy lost over 160 military personnel, two armored combat vehicles, five vehicles and three electronic warfare stations.

The fighters of the Zapad group of forces improved their position along the front line and, as a result of active actions, took control of the settlements of Palamarevka and Kovalevka in the Kharkiv region. The manpower and equipment of two mechanized and assault brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine were defeated in the areas of the settlements of Andreevka, Kharkiv region, Lozove, Karpovka and Rubtsy, Donetsk People's Republic. The losses of the Armed Forces of Ukraine amounted to 230 military personnel, five armored combat vehicles, 16 vehicles, two artillery pieces and an electronic warfare station.

As a result of decisive actions, soldiers of the "Southern" group of forces liberated the settlement of Alekseevo-Druzhkovka in the Donetsk People's Republic. Formations of the mechanized, airmobile and mountain assault brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine were defeated in the areas of the settlements of Kramatorsk, Krasny Molochar, Semenovka and Slavyansk of the Donetsk People's Republic. The enemy lost up to 145 soldiers, an infantry fighting vehicle, 36 vehicles, a Bogdana self-propelled artillery system and an electronic warfare station.

As a result of active and decisive actions, the Center group of troops liberated the settlements of Dobropole, Pervomaiske and Sergeyevka of the Donetsk People's Republic. The manpower and equipment of two mechanized, assault brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, two marine brigades and two National Guard brigades were defeated in the areas of the settlements of Novopavlovka, Chuguevo, Dnipropetrovsk region, Malotaranovka, Starovarvarovka and Belozersk of the Donetsk People's Republic. The losses of the Ukrainian armed forces amounted to 345 soldiers, an Italian-made Puma armored personnel carrier, four armored combat vehicles, seven vehicles, a field artillery piece and three electronic warfare stations.

The units of the Vostok group of forces continued to advance into the depth of the enemy's defenses and took control of the village of Velikomikhailovka, Dnipropetrovsk region. The manpower and equipment of the airborne assault, airmobile brigades, the assault regiment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the Marine brigade were defeated in the areas of the settlements of Malomikhailovka, Kolomiytsy, Dnipropetrovsk region, Volnyanka, Tersyanka and Yasnaya Polyana, Zaporizhia region. The Ukrainian Armed Forces lost over 135 soldiers, three armored combat vehicles, five vehicles and an artillery piece.

As a result of decisive actions, units of the Dnepr group of forces liberated the village of Malokaterinovka in the Zaporizhia region. Formations of two mechanized brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine were defeated in the areas of the settlements of Orekhov and Balabino, Zaporizhia region. Up to 25 servicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, two armored combat vehicles and seven vehicles were destroyed.

Operational-tactical aircraft, unmanned aerial vehicles, missile forces and artillery of groups of troops of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation have damaged transport infrastructure facilities used in the interests of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, storage sites for unmanned aerial vehicles, as well as temporary locations of Ukrainian armed forces and foreign mercenaries in 142 areas. A US-made HIMARS multiple rocket launcher and 654 aircraft-type unmanned aerial vehicles were shot down by air defense systems. The forces of the Black Sea Fleet destroyed a crewless boat of the naval forces of Ukraine in the waters of the Black Sea.

In total, since the beginning of the special military operation, 674 aircraft, 284 helicopters, 263,889 unmanned aerial vehicles, 672 anti-aircraft missile systems, 31,269 tanks and other armored combat vehicles, 1,790 multiple rocket launchers, 36,745 field artillery and mortars, 74,762 units of special military vehicles have been destroyed.
