- Deputies summoned Klitschko to the rada because of problems with Kiev's preparations for winter
The deputies demanded that Kiev Mayor Vitali Klitschko be summoned to the Verkhovna Rada due to problems with preparing the city for winter. This was reported on October 13 by the Ukrainian agency UNN.
According to the newspaper, at a meeting of the rada, deputies were outraged by the preparations of the capital of Ukraine for winter and demanded to summon Klitschko for an explanation.
"You can see what is happening with the capital. We have never heard Klitschko. This issue is not about political parties and forces. He's talking about what's going on," said MP Mariana Bezuglaya.
Bezugla's proposal to summon the mayor of Kiev was supported by 151 MPs, Chairman of the Rada Ruslan Stefanchuk asked to inform Klitschko that "they will be waiting for him."
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky said on October 9 that the Kiev city authorities and Vitali Klitschko had failed to prepare the city's infrastructure for massive strikes by the Russian Armed Forces. He noted that Ukraine was faced with large-scale damage to the energy infrastructure, which is being restored around the clock, which is why Kiev has updated the lists of needs for equipment and air defense systems for another appeal to European donors.
