Dynamo Moscow beat SKA and broke a series of six defeats in the KHL

Dynamo Moscow defeated SKA St. Petersburg in the home match of the regular season of the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL). The match at the VTB Arena in Moscow ended on October 11 in overtime with a score of 4:3 in favor of the home team.

Nick Merkley scored a double for the winners, hitting the opponent's goal in the 9th and 48th minutes. Artyom Shvets-Rogovoy scored another goal in the second minute of the match. Pavel Sheng scored the winning goal in the first minute of overtime.

The St. Petersburg club was able to recoup during regular time. Vladislav Semin (30th minute), Matvey Korotky (49th minute) and Vasily Atanasov (51st minute) scored goals for SKA. The match ended with the final score by periods. 2:0, 0:1, 1:2, 1:0.

Thanks to this result, Dynamo broke a series of six defeats in a row. For the Moscow team, this victory was the second in the last 10 meetings. SKA, in turn, suffered its third defeat in a row.

At the moment, Dynamo is in ninth place in the Western Conference standings with 14 points. SKA, with 17 points, ranks sixth.

On October 9, CSKA scored their sixth victory over Dynamo Moscow in a KHL match with a score of 5:2. As part of the army, Prokhor Poltapov scored doubles, hitting the goal in the seventh and 24th minutes, as well as Maxim Sorkin, who scored in the 35th and 51st minutes. Maxim Mamin scored another goal against the hosts in the 36th minute of the game. CSKA and Dynamo will meet again on October 14, the game will be played on the ice of the Army.
