The American Bombardier ARTEMIS II reconnaissance aircraft performed maneuvers over the eastern part of the Black Sea several hundred kilometers from the Crimean Peninsula. This is reported by RIA Novosti with reference to flight tracking data.

The aircraft took off from the Romanian Mikhail Kogalniceanu airbase and headed east. At about 10:50 Moscow time, the plane was over the Black Sea at a considerable distance from the Crimea. After 11:00 Moscow time, it began to turn around in the area of the Turkish city of Trabzon and changed direction several times, describing loops over the water area. Later, at about 13:00 Moscow time, the plane headed towards Georgia.

The Bombardier ARTEMIS II is a business jet converted by the American company Leidos to perform radar reconnaissance tasks.

On September 27, an American Bombardier ARTEMIS II reconnaissance aircraft began flying over the territory around the Kaliningrad region. The aircraft took off from Romania. At about 10:40 Moscow time, the flight made a U-turn near the Polish city of Augustow and has been circling the borders of the Russian region for three hours since then. The exact destination of the aircraft remains unknown.
