Blogger Valeria Chekalina, known as Lerchek and who received a suspended sentence, refused to undergo a polygraph test as part of a pre-investigation check into the case of the loss of her jewelry worth about 14.5 million rubles. This was reported by law enforcement agencies on October 11.

"Chekalina refused to undergo a polygraph test as part of a pre—investigation check into the loss of her jewelry," a source told TASS.

Izvestia reported on October 9 that a criminal case had been opened against the investigator after the loss of the Rolex watch and Bulgari Lercek bracelet. The official representative of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia, Irina Volk, clarified that a criminal case of abuse of office was opened against an investigator of the Department of Internal Affairs in New Moscow after he failed to attach material assets worth 14.4 million rubles as part of the case under investigation.

The Basmanny Court of Moscow refused to impose house arrest on investigator Nikita Tulupov, who is accused of abuse of office in the case of missing jewelry. The person involved in the criminal case denies his guilt. After that, the prosecutor canceled the decision to initiate a criminal case on abuse of official authority against the investigator.
