Samara Krylia Sovetov and Spartak Moscow drew in the match of the 10th round of the Russian Premier League (RPL). The match, which took place on October 10 in Samara, ended with a score of 1:1.
Manfred Ugalde, the Red and white striker, opened the scoring in the 79th minute. The home team won back in the 86th minute thanks to a precise strike from Martin Kramaric.
The capital club played a significant part of the match with ten players. In the 24th minute, the referee removed Spartak goalkeeper Alexander Maksimenko for depriving the opponent of a clear opportunity to score a goal. After that, the coaching staff was forced to replace Marquinhos' fielder with goalkeeper Ilya Pomazun.
Maksimenko became the fifth goalkeeper in Spartak's history to receive a red card in Russian championship matches. Before him, Stanislav Cherchesov, Alexander Filimonov, Sergey Pesyakov and Andrey Dikan were eliminated from the field.
Following the meeting, Spartak scored 20 points and moved up to second place in the RPL standings. Krylia Sovetov has 12 points, and the Samara club ranks ninth.
Zenit St. Petersburg defeated Krasnodar on October 10 in an away match of the 10th round of the Russian Football Championship. The match ended with a score of 3:2 in favor of the club from St. Petersburg.
